Latest Issue Of 'The Lion' Published

Leading with our Head of Classics' report on a very successful school trip to Sicily, Issue 68 of The Lion is now online.

Our termly Senior School newsletter, compiled by Mrs Sarah Harris (Director of Marketing and Admissions) is always overbrimming with the latest exciting news of achievements by Bablake pupils and Issue 68 is no exception. As well as features on Jonathan Meres' visit to Bablake to meet national cartoon competition winner Giselle Pinto, and our Textiles department's superb wall-hanging that proudly adorns our Main Hall, recent school visits and individual achievements of note are reported.

An excellent feature written by Mrs Sue Smith (Head of 4th Year), inspired by the national #ThisGirlCan campaign, gives focus to a number of our girls who are leading the way in the world of sport on the international, national and regional stage; a full page is also devoted to the restoration of our Crompton organ, a project only made possible by a grant from the estate of the late former pupil John Phipps.

Mrs Harris is already receiving news for the Spring issue.
