Kare Rips Into The London Mini Marathon Course Record

Senior School Sport

On a record-breaking day in the 30th London Marathon, once again sponsored by Virgin Money Giving, five course records were set in the three-mile Mini Marathon and we are extremely proud to report that Bablake pupil Kare Adenegan was one of these record-breakers!

Kare knocked almost a staggering two minutes off the Under 14 Girls’ Wheelchair record, returning an impressive time of 12 minutes 41 seconds. She was the fastest girl on the day in any age group and her time was only two seconds slower than fellow Team GB member Jade Jones’ U17 course record.

We wish Kare all the very best for her exciting season of athletics ahead and look forward to reporting on further successes in 2015.
