Dynamic Dan's Dazzling Debut For Bablake 1st XI

Senior School Cricket

U14 Warwickshire cricketer Dan Mousley had a dazzling debut for our 1st XI this weekend when he hit a superb 80 against Bishop Vesey's Grammar School in a 35 over contest.

Replying to BVGS's 203-7, Dan's dynamic innings came off 73 balls and he hit 13 fours and 2 sixes. While West Indian international Jermaine Blackwood's recent defiant half century (85 runs from a total of 189) in the 3rd Test could still be a match-winning innings, sadly Dan's colleagues struggled against a good BVGS attack. The team was all out for 164, 39 runs short, with just openers Ross Parnell (29) and Tom Betts (20) matching Dan in reaching double figures.

We understand that Dan received many congratulatory messages from his school friends, and significantly a special one from Warwickshire CCC's Elite Cricket Development Manager Paul Greetham, who was present for part of his innings. Dan and Ross Parnell (1st XI captain) are both part of the county's Emerging Players programme.
