Mark's Best Is A Double Ton

Old Wheatleyans Cricket

After an exhilirating final day's play in the 1st Test Match at Lord's where England gained a victory over New Zealand, it seems a suitable time to praise Mark Best, our former 1st XI captain who is at the start of what we hope will be a very successful future career in the game.

We heard recently that Mark hit a tremendous double century, scoring 203 not out for Loughborough MCCU against Durham MCCU in a 2 day game. This was his 29th century in all cricket over the years.

There is an interview available on the Loughborough Sport website where Mark talks about this achievement, his cricket and how he combines his Social Psychology degree with his sport.
