Bablake's Design Technology pupils were successful at the recent Coventry Schools Design and Technology Exhibition, sponsored by the five Rotary Clubs of Coventry. This is an event that has been held for 23 years and we were delighted to be invited earlier this year to enter work for this celebration of the best Design and Technology work by young people in the city.

Tom Betts, Rachel Faulkner and Ruby Griffin displayed their GCSE coursework, while Huw Edwards represented our A level pupils with his 'butcher's block and food preparation' cabinet. All the pupils received certificates acknowledging their achievement and Huw also won a £50 prize for outstanding craftsmanship, that was presented by Coventry Councillor David Kershaw CBE, Cabinet Member for Education.

Head of Design Technology, Mr Chris West, commented: 'I was delighted to support the event and look forward to submitting our pupils' work for the 2015 exhibition. The standard of all the work on display was very high and showed an exciting range of skills, so the Bablake pupils represented should also be very proud of their projects.'

Pictured with their certificates are Ruby, Rachel and Huw. With thanks to Mr West for the photograph.
